BambooHR launches Time & Attendance with Shift Scheduling
BambooHR has released Time & Attendance with Shift Scheduling, bringing rostering, time tracking and attendance into one place. Grouper is relaying this global product news.
BambooHR has announced Time & Attendance with Shift Scheduling, adding rostering and shift planning to its time-tracking capabilities. Grouper, BambooHR's authorised partner across Ireland, the UK and Europe, is sharing this global announcement.
The feature is aimed at organisations with shift-based or hourly workforces โ retail, hospitality, healthcare and similar sectors โ where building rosters, tracking hours and reconciling attendance can consume a great deal of manager time. Bringing scheduling and time tracking into the same platform is intended to reduce duplicate data entry and give managers a clearer view of who is working when.
For Irish, UK and European employers, scheduling and time tracking connect directly to working-time law. In Ireland, the Organisation of Working Time Act sets rules on maximum weekly hours, rest breaks and daily and weekly rest periods, and requires employers to keep accurate records. Across the EU the Working Time Directive establishes comparable protections, and the UK's Working Time Regulations do likewise. These obligations differ from the US Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which governs overtime and minimum wage in the United States and is US-specific โ it does not apply to employers in our region.
Accurate time and attendance records also support pay and statutory entitlements, so it is worth configuring the feature to reflect local rules on breaks, rest and overtime rather than relying on default settings designed with another jurisdiction in mind.
Availability of specific scheduling and attendance capabilities can vary by plan and region. Grouper will confirm what is available to each customer's account and help configure the module so it reflects Irish, UK or EU working-time requirements.
Employers who manage shift-based teams and would like to see how Time & Attendance with Shift Scheduling fits their operation can contact the Grouper team.
